This ride also showcases Aurora’s Parks and Open Space urban riding trails. This is a premier horse lovers attraction representing our pioneer and western traditions.

 

The Event gates will open at 7:30 am. Riders will check in at about 8 am. There will be light refreshments.  As you tack up your horses, we will welcome participants at 9 am, highlight the purpose of the ride, explain park rules, identify safety riders and start the event. Saddle Up for Breast will be held rain or shine.

 

Riders will then be free to go on a leisurely ride to Morrison nature center in groups or individually. The trail loops back giving participants time to socialize at the main event location where  other activities are being planned.

 

 Saddle Up For Breast Cancer

                                            a Western Trail Ride

 

Saddle Up for Breast Cancer, a western Trail Ride will be held on Saturday September 24th at Coal Creek Arena, 20657-2078 E. 6th Ave, Aurora, CO, 80018, (east of Buckley Air Force Base). This event is in partnership with the Aurora Parks and Open Space Dept.

 

A leisurely ride will follow a designated trail along the Sand Creek to the Morrison Nature Center and then back to the arena, where various activities are planned throughout the day. The length of the ride is approximately eight miles ( Map of Sand Creek Trails ).

 

The goal of the ride is to raise money for Renee’s Friends Fund helping, those undergoing cancer treatment, with living expenses while they focus on their therapy regime.
